Follow their rhythm

Keep naps and nights in the same picture.

Fostr’s baby sleep tracker helps your care team record when sleep starts and ends. Use a timer in the moment or add a session later, then review naps and overnight sleep in one shared history.

Record sleep as it happens

Start a sleep timer for the selected child, then finish it when the session ends. When starting a timer is not practical, enter the session afterward with its start and end times. Keep any helpful context in the notes.

The aim is a useful record of your family’s day, not a perfect chart. If an entry needs correcting, revisit it in the history. Check the saved or waiting status when connectivity is interrupted so you know whether an update has reached the shared timeline.

Make the next handoff a little calmer

When another caregiver takes over, they can review the same sleep history rather than ask you to reconstruct the last nap. Feeds and diaper changes sit alongside sleep, keeping the day’s practical details together.

Invite a partner, grandparent, or another trusted caregiver to the child profile. Each person uses their own account, and the profile owner can remove access later. Fostr works on phones and desktop browsers, with an optional home-screen installation.

Notice changing patterns without a rigid schedule

Baby sleep logging and history are included in Fostr Free. Optional Plus rhythm predictions use recent records to estimate a next nap or wake time when there is enough information.

The prediction system distinguishes naps, primary overnight sleep, and shorter resettles, and adapts as patterns change. An estimate is a planning aid, not a promise or an instruction to keep a baby asleep or awake. Fostr is a tracking tool and does not diagnose sleep problems or replace professional advice.

Get started in Fostr

  1. Start with the right profile

Select your child and start a sleep timer when the session begins.

  2. Finish or enter later

End the timer when sleep finishes, or enter the start and end times afterward.

  3. Look back together

Review the shared history before a handoff and add notes that help the next caregiver.

A few practical questions

Can I track both naps and overnight sleep?

Yes. Sleep sessions are recorded in the child’s history, so your care team can review daytime naps and overnight sleep together.

Do I have to keep the screen open?

No. A running timer uses its saved start time to calculate elapsed time. Check the timer and sync status when you return, particularly after a period without connectivity.

Is a predicted nap time a recommended schedule?

No. Plus predictions are estimates based on your baby’s recent logs. They are not medical advice or a required sleep schedule.
